Microsoft Whiteboard is a digital collaboration canvas on which you can draw, write, add note cards, paste pages from a file, and so on. Whiteboard also has templates which you can use for example brainstorming or planning. Whiteboard can be used either to work alone or to share the output with others either for review or co-working.

Please notice! You can only share whiteboards inside your organization, which means that users must log in to the HAMK-network with a user ID to view boards.

    When to use the Whiteboard?

As a student, you could use Whiteboard for example:

    • Planning project work
    • Planning a specific task
    • Visualizing
    • Brainstorming session
    • To take notes.

As a teacher, Whiteboard is well suited for example:

    • Designing modules, blueprints
    • Brainstorming with students
    • Visualizing
    • Co-operating in meetings.

Where can I find the Whiteboard app?

Whiteboard is part of Microsoft’s Office 365 service, and you can find it through M365 portal. Choose the Whiteboard-icon from the waffle menu at the top left.

Using Whiteboard during a Teams meeting

You can also create a new whiteboard during a Teams meeting. You can find the icon behind the “Share”-button.
