HAMK Learn Clear criteria

The HAMK Learn Clear quality criteria were created during an audit carried out during the academic year 23-24. The criteria were based on the quality criteria for online learning that we already use, our university’s accessibility guidelines, and the templates we have built for the learning platform.
Module as a whole
- The implementations form a single, clear module.
- The learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the implementations are clearly presented.
- The learning process and the student’s progress are clearly presented.
- The total workload and periodicity of students are presented at module level, time use estimates are displayed.
- The implementations have been opened to students two weeks before the start of their studies.
Guidance, feedback and evaluation
- The persons responsible for guidance, implementation methods, communication channels and schedules are described on the Learn platform.
- The platform has a channel for student feedback and questions.
- Student progress tracking is enabled.
- The assessment book in Learn is in use and organized.
Learning assignments
- The purpose, objective, work instructions and sources of information are clearly presented.
- The evaluation criteria for the tasks to be evaluated are presented.
- The estimated time spent by students has been stated.
- The tasks have been carried out in an appropriate manner, mainly as assignment activities.
- The assignments utilize a template (common assignment structure).
Accessibility and UDL
- The structure of the workspace is clear, and the progress is consistent.
- Schedules are displayed.
- The activities have been used appropriately. Media (video, audio, text, etc.) have been used in the materials in a diverse manner.
- Text styles have been used consistently and accessibly.
- Files containing text can be read with a screen reader.
- The materials do not require any special programs or logins to open (excl. work done with a specific application). Videos have subtitles, audio files have text alternatives, video and audio recording durations are indicated, long videos have chapter splits.
- Usability and accessibility remain on mobile devices.
- The links are descriptively named, and they work.
- Tasks and activities are named descriptively and consistently (reasonable length names).
