HAMK’s theses often focus on people, so in the early stages of the thesis, it is necessary to take care of the implementation of good scientific practice and data protection aspects when recruiting target persons for the thesis. This page contains examples of an important documents that often need to be prepared before the data collection begins. The examples are intended to help instructors and students and to be modified to suit each thesis.

Depending on the implementation of the thesis and data collection, the thesis may not need all the examples described above. Before starting data collection, discuss with the author of the thesis how the participants will be recruited, how they will be informed about the thesis and how to obtain the consent of the thesis participants to participate in the thesis.
